A number of victims and families of the victims of the KKA Simpang Tragedy and humanitarian activists and social activists visited the KKA Simpang Tragedy Monument, in Paloh Lada Village, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency, to commemorate 23 Years of the Humanitarian Tragedy at the KKA Intersection. The Commemoration of the Sp.KKA Tragedy this year coincides with Aidil Fitri 1443 H Tuesday, May 3, 2022 or the second holiday. The incident still leaves a heavy trauma for the victim and the victim's family. The action to commemorate the bloody event was carried out in a simple manner considering that it was in an atmosphere of welcoming Aidil Fitri and did not present a large crowd as in previous years. The activity to commemorate the 23 Years of the Sp KKA Tragedy presents several series of events, including:

– Pilgrimage to the Grave of Martyrs Victims of the Sp.KKA Tragedy
– Silent action at the KKA Simpang Monument
- The prayer together at: 20.00 WIB is centered at the Ta'lim Assembly Hall of Simpang KKA Hamlet, Paloh Lada (in front of the monument)

The 23rd Anniversary of the Sp.KKA Tragedy, May 3, 2022 this year was held by the Communication Forum for Victims and Families of the Victims of the Simpang KKA Tragedy (FK3T-SP.KKA), and supported by the Simpang KKA Youth Association and the ElMansyur Peduli Institution

The Coordinator of FK3T-SP.KKA, Murtala, told the media that remembering this event is very important to fight forgetting and at the same time illustrates the attitude of the Government which continues to deny justice to the victims and their families. And of course this condition left a deep traumatic wound on the victim and further strengthened the victim's sense of distrust towards the Government.

It should be remembered that on June 26 2016, Komnas HAM had completed its pro-justice investigation and stated that there were allegations of gross human rights violations. But unfortunately, the Attorney General's Office has not yet formed an investigation team to follow up on the Komnas HAM report, in order to resolve cases of gross human rights violations in accordance with Law No. 26 of 2000 concerning the Human Rights Court.

Still fresh in my memory, during the 2014 presidential election campaign, Jokowi was committed to resolving cases of past gross human rights violations and eradicating impunity. This commitment is also stated in the vision, mission and program of action known as Nawa Cita. One of the important points in Nawa Cita's priorities, Joko Widodo promised to resolve justice cases of past human rights violations. As a victim and Coordinator of FK3T-SP.KKA, I am of the opinion that the direction of resolving past human rights violations at the hands of President Jokowi's regime is not at all clear and tends to be dark.

In fact, President Joko Widodo has served as head of state for two terms and his term as head of state is almost over, but not a single case has been realized, said Murtala.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Elmansyur Peduli Institute (Mansyuri) added, "The KKA Junction Tragedy is a history that cannot be forgotten, I as the general chairman of the Elmansyur Peduli Institute feel sorry for the incident, I hope the martyrs in this tragedy will receive the grace of Allah SWT, We also convey and hope that this incident will receive special attention from the District, Provincial and Central Governments, so that the victims and their families do not feel left out, especially with regard to the health, education of their children and also their economic empowerment, so that the victims and their families feel cared for.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Simpang KKA Youth Association, Saiful Ramadhan added, as a young generation who is thirsty for history, we strongly support this event, and help each other hand in hand to make the series of events commemorating the Simpang KKA Tragedy successful which is remembered every year. We youths and the community in Simpang KKA hamlet in the event Commemorating the 23 Years of the Sp.KKA Tragedy have also prepared a place for a joint prayer which will be held after the 'Insha' prayer tonight.

Furthermore, the FK3T-SP.KKA Coordinator expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported this event, so that the 23rd anniversary of the KKA Junction Tragedy goes as we all hoped, especially for our fellow Press Persons (Journalists) who today On our birthday we wish you a Happy Milad, may you always be at the forefront of proclaiming the truth.
