This short film tells about the hopes of the victims of past human rights violations in Aceh towards efforts to encourage the fulfillment of a sense of justice which is their most basic right.

The Aceh Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) which was formed in October 2016 provided the last hope for victims after their long journey to achieve justice. The existence of the Aceh TRC is expected to facilitate efforts to uncover the dark veil of the past and prevent it from happening again.

This short film, which was contributed by KontraS Aceh with the support of the Tifa Foundation, is also intended to preserve our collective memory of the bitterness of the Aceh conflict. It is very important for us to know about the dark history of human rights violations in the past so that we can look forward to a better future.
