The location of the shooting incident against Acehnese leader HT Djohan on Thursday, May 10, 2001. Information gathered from the community stated that the deceased died on his way home after performing the evening prayer at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. The shooting occurred about 50 meters before arriving at his house (Acehtrend, May 10, 2018). The figure who had served as Deputy Governor of Aceh (1987-1992) also died on the spot after being hit by three gunshot wounds to the head. The Aceh Regional Police had examined 12 witnesses in the shooting case of Tengku Djohan. However, until now, the police have not found the perpetrators of the shooting.
